AP Physics 1 and 2 (combined) Workshop
July 7-11, 2014
This workshop is designed to introduce the teacher to the new AP Physics 1 and 2 courses. Participants will be introduced to the new Curriculum Framework, and gain experience planning curriculum based on the Big Ideas, Enduring Understandings and Learning Objectives. Participants will be introduced to the new AP Physics 1&2 exams, including the new multiple-choice questions, laboratory questions and translation questions. Participants will learn how to construct and conduct inquiry-based AP physics labs to maximize efficiency during laboratory time and discuss pedagogy for challenging content areas. Sources and search procedures for obtaining multimedia materials for all aspects of the AP course will be presented. Maximum capacity 48. (Monday - Thursday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm and Friday 8:30 am - noon.)
