Loyola's Center for Science and Math Education is pleased to host LAB-AIDS' Summer Science Seminar.
Middle school science teachers seeking to engage their students in issue-oriented inquiry based science will want to
consider the LAB-AIDS Summer Science Institute held at Loyola University Chicago's downtown campus in the heart of Chicago's
Magnificent Mile. In addition to workshops led by two of Loyola's award winning science faculty, teachers will do hands-on activities
using LAB-AIDS' nationally renowned curriculum. Participants will also learn new ways to use inquiry techniques and assess
student learning. Participants will also spend a day at one of Chicago's most celebrated cultural institutions, the Museum of Science
and Industry. Join us for a summer of science by the lake. For more information, please visit the 2007 LAB-AIDS Summmer Science Institute page.
Participants interested in receiving course credit for the Institute can receive three hours of graduate credit from Loyola University
Chicago for a cost of $822. If interested, please download the summer institute application and
return to
the Center for Science and Math Education at the address or fax number indicated on the last page of the application.
Loyola welcomes you to our campus and Chicago this summer.
