Pamela Geddes
Pamela Geddes completed her B.S. and M.S. at Florida International University in Miami, FL and her Ph.D. at University of Chicago. She was an NSF Post-doctoral Fellow at Loyola University of Chicago until 2009 after which she became a Research Associate at Loyola’s Center for Urban Environmental Research and Policy under the Chicago Clean Air Clean Water Program (CACW). She is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biology at Northeastern Illinois University.
Her research interests focus on the interactions between organisms and their environment, at the population, community, and ecosystem levels. Specifically, two broader themes emerge: 1) Invasive species and the mechanisms that underlie successful invasions, and 2) Ecological interactions in freshwater aquatic communities, including environmental contaminants and their effects on aquatic biota.
Geddes continues to collaborate on research through Loyola University Chicago's CUERP Clean Air, Clean Water program.
