Konstantin Laufer
Konstantin Läufer is a professor of computer science at Loyola University Chicago. His teaching and research interests include programming languages; software architecture, components, design patterns, and frameworks; and distributed, embedded, mobile, and pervasive computing.
He is author or co-author of over 40 conference and journal articles. Konstantin studied physics at the University of Konstanz and received a PhD in computer science from New York University's Courant Institute in 1992.
His current research focuses on pervasive computing in the context of an air and water quality study in the Chicago metropolitan area (Clean Air, Clean Water--CACW program) and on innovative file systems. In 2009, he received a faculty fellowship from Loyola's Center for Urban Environmental Research and Policy (CUERP).
