Nancy C. Tuchman, Ph.D.
Nancy C. Tuchman, Ph.D., is the Associate Provost for Research and a Professor in Biology at Loyola. Her research expertise focuses on human impacts on the structure and function of freshwater aquatic ecosystems. In particular, she has conducted extensive research and writing on 1) the effects of elevated atmospheric carbon dioxide on leaf-litter phytochemical quality in stream-ecosystem food webs, and 2) the effects of invasive species on biodiversity and biogeochemical cycling in the Great Lakes and their coastal wetlands.
