Master's in English Language Teaching & Learning
The School of Education’s M.Ed. in English Language Teaching and Learning is designed for practicing teachers with a valid Illinois Teaching License. The coursework will prepare teachers to provide comprehensive instruction specific to English language learners (ELLs) in today’s classrooms, including second language acquisition theories and research, effective and innovative methods of instruction and assessment, and comprehensive knowledge about language, language policy, and more.
The cohort model creates a cadre of educators with a common purpose of improving student outcomes, especially within the ESL student population.
We are currently accepting applications for the Fall Semester of 2013.
