Corporate Practice Certificate in Paralegal Studies
The Institute for Paralegal Studies offers a new program option—the Corporate Practice Certificate in Paralegal Studies—at Loyola at Cuneo Mansion and Gardens in Vernon Hills, Ill.
This certificate program focuses on areas of law that are important in the transaction of business—contracts, commercial transactions, due diligence, regulatory compliance, business entities, securities regulation, and intellectual property. Dealing with e-discovery and litigation will also be included. Lake County and northern Cook County are home to numerous corporate headquarters.
The primary goal of the Institute is to prepare students to work as assistants to attorneys in 21st century sophisticated legal practices. Paralegals may not provide legal services directly to the public except as authorized by law.
The Institute for Paralegal Studies has been approved by the American Bar Association for over two decades. The Corporate Practice Certificate has recently been approved by the ABA.
