Personal Information
Chez Rumpf is a doctoral student in the Department of Sociology at Loyola University Chicago. Her research interests include gender, domestic violence, incarceration, social policy, as well as feminism and the state. Her master’s thesis was a qualitative study of Chicago’s Domestic Violence court. Chez has taught the undergraduate courses “Poverty and Welfare in America” and “Men, Women, and Work” at Loyola University Chicago, as well as the undergraduate course “Sociology of Work” at Northeastern Illinois University. Since coming to CURL, Chez has worked on the “Analysis of Shelter Utilization by Victims of Domestic Violence,” the “Evaluation of the Chicago Housing Authority’s Victim Assistance Program,” the “Evaluation of Chicago’s Plan to End Homelessness,” and the “Evaluation of the 100,000 Homes Campaign in Chicago.” She also volunteers with the Chicago Freedom School and the Chicago Prison Industrial Complex Teaching Collective.
