The Leadership Council for Metropolitan Open Communities works through direct services, advocacy, and research when possible, and legal action when necessary to promote racially and economically stable, diverse communities and overcome discrimination and segregation in the six-county Chicago region. The Leadership Council's direct services primarily serve minorities and persons with low and moderate-incomes. Over 90% of our clients are people of color. Over 80% of our clients are low and moderate-income clients. Advocacy efforts by the Leadership Council promote policies that benefit low and moderate-income persons and minorities.
