Low-income Resident Voice in Housing Policy in the U.S. and Australia

(7/1/2010-6/30/2013)

Funded by an $80,000 grant from the Australian Research Council, CURL is working with the Social Justice and Social Change Research Centre University of Western Sydney to examine effective strategies giving residents of government subsidized low-income housing developments voice in decisions affecting the social and physical aspects of their housing and communities.  Partners in both Sydney and Chicago will include resident councils, affordable housing advocate organizations, and other community institutions.
