Overview:

This project seeks to identify and understand the status of stable, racially and ethnically diverse communities around the United States. We will analyze census-tract level data for the 30 largest metropolitan areas from the 1990 and 2000 decennial Census, categorize diverse neighborhoods by type and duration of diversity, and document any activities, strategies, techniques, programs, incentives, etc. that have fostered racial/ethnic diversity in selected communities.
