Overview:

Funded by the Michael Reese Health Trust, Loyola University Chicago’s Center for Urban Research and the School of Social Work will conduct a three year evaluation of the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) Open Door Demonstration Project. This demonstration project is part of the Illinois Department of Human Services' (IDHS) Smart Part Initiative. The Smart Path Initiative began in July of 2006 and focuses on creating an integrated service delivery system and maximizing scarce resources.  Smart Path has an inventory of 21 integration projects occurring simultaneously across IDHS, with the No Wrong Door Case Management project being one of them. It is envisioned that lessons learned from the No Wrong Door Case Management project will be spread throughout IDHS offices.
