Overview:

CURL worked with the City of Chicago’s Commission on Human Relations to examine the impact of the “gentrification and displacement cycle” on different racial and ethnic communities in Chicago.

Outcome:

Report completed and submitted in January of 2006 to the Commission and City Council of Chicago that included demographic information and community leader interviews and focus group data. At the request of the Commission, CURL presented the findings to various city groups and organizations. The study was presented at the Urban Affairs Association conference in April, 2006.
