Home Health Agency Workforce Development

Project Team
D. Van Zytveld, CURL
B. Thakore, CURL Graduate Fellow

Overview:

The objectives of Roseland Christian Health Ministries is to create 70 new jobs for low income residents of Cook County, Illinois while serving the heath care needs of seniors living on the south side of Chicago and its adjacent south suburbs through the development of a Home Health Agency to complement RCHM's existing Christian Community Health Center. Jobs to be created include Home Care Aides, Schedulers, Receptionists, Custodial and Marketing positions. The cost per job is $10,000. This new business will meet a critical health care need in the community, as many senior citizens in need of home care are unaware of the services available to them through Medicare or are unable to find a faith based Home Health Agency to meet their particular needs.
