Overview:
In the spirit of Jesuit values of service for others, Loyola launched a university-wide service learning program which was housed at CURL. Service learning is an important part of Loyola’s educational process and is a form of experiential learning that engages students in course-relevant, community-focused service that connects academic pursuits and community action.
Outcome:
CURL served as an incubator for the Service Learning program at Loyola until the creation of a university-wide program. Service learning is now housed in the Center for Experiential Learning.
