Damen Student Award
The Damen Award is named for Loyola University Chicago's founder, Arnold Damen, S.J. It seeks to honor undergraduate students who have committed themselves to Jesuit ideals by being a true source of inspiration and leadership to the Loyola community throughout the year. "1870" Award
Loyola University Chicago was founded in 1870. Since that time, it has developed into a vibrant, exciting, and world renowned university. Just as the University grew and developed, so does every student entering its doors. The University encourages every entering student to make the most of their first year and has developed guidelines for doing that in "The Loyola Experience: The Four-Year Plan for Student Transformation." Faculty/Staff Member of the Year Award
The Faculty/Staff Member of the Year Award, sponsored by the Unified Student Government Association (USGA) and the Maroon & Gold Society, recognizes the extraordinary contributions and quality service of a faculty or staff member in his/her role in fulfilling the mission of Loyola University Chicago, particularly by improving the life of the Loyola student body. This award is the only award given solely by the Loyola student population to a faculty or staff member. It seeks to honor those individuals who have supported and guided students in their personal and leadership development during the past academic year. Learn more
