Here is how Angela exemplifies the Jesuit ideals according to her nomination:

Angela has been a true example of a Loyola University Chicago student leader. Not only is Angela responsible, hardworking, intelligent, and creative, she also takes on the responsibility of instilling these attributes among others in extremely important leadership positions on campus. As a STARS mentor, Angela has given countless hours to her first-year student mentees and other STARS team members in coordinating service and academic programs, acting as an advocate and resource, and providing leadership opportunities for student development. In her role as president of the Black Cultural Center, Angela has led the revitalization of an organization that has been actively serving the Loyola African American community through service and outreach. Angela has also played a significant role in notable campus initiatives including the Martin Luther King Junior Celebration, the Theatre Department's Reading Series, Black History Month, Women's History Month, Asian-Pacific Islander American Heritage Month, the Office of Student Diversity's Welcome Week initiatives, the Deconstruction Zone, and United for Success. Angela, with all her unique contributions and her willingness to serve others, has been an asset to each team and organization of which she has been a part, and has demonstrated her concern for others by taking on these leadership roles.
