Advocate

Here is how Advocate exemplifies the Jesuit ideals according to their nomination:

Advocate has accomplished many things this year from GLBTQ awareness week, to World AIDS day, to participating in the Planning of Women's History month, and currently working on planning Hate Crime Awareness week, which will take place in April. All of these things have helped shape the Loyola Community by opening up a dialogue for GLBTQ issues. Advocate is also working on planning the Ignite conference, the 3rd Annual GLBTQ Conference for Jesuit Universities. Advocate has shown the Jesuit ideals by extending diversity and opening a dialogue to the entire campus on views that could be overlooked. Advocate has also shown service in hosting a raffle to benefit victims of AIDS. And the Ignite conference will spread a wider understanding of GLBTQ issues nationally.
