Here is how Ajay exemplifies the Jesuit ideals according to his nomination:
Ajay is a man of faith and a man of service who has dedicated his time to being there for others. He was one of ten selected for dinner with the board of trustees for his leadership skills. As President of the Hindu Students Organization, and publicity chair of the South Asian Student Alliance, Ajay is willing to go above and beyond his duties to ensure success. It is hard to think of an event on campus that Ajay was not working on behind the scenes. Within SASA, Ajay went above his position and assisted in raising funds for the first ever student-funded SASA Night. SASA Night became a reality because of his hard work and commitment. Under his leadership as president, HSO held its largest ever Navratri Garba at the Alumni Gym, which was a huge success. With growing numbers of Hindu students attending Loyola, Ajay realized the need for a Puja Room that attended to all sects of Hinduism and so began working on plans to remodel the Puja Room. He is faith in action, walking his faith everyday by spending time mentoring students. Ajay is most deserving of this award.
