Kyle Pfeifer, Senior

Here is how Kyle exemplifies the Jesuit ideals according to his nomination:

Kyle has had an incredible impact on the Loyola University throughout his senior year. This last year Kyle assumed the position of President in Band of Wolves after 3 years of membership, and has helped the band grows to over 100 members on its active roster from less than 14 during his first college semester. Kyle is also is a Mulcahy Scholar in Dr. Rosi-Marshall's Laboratory. His research activities have led him become a co-author on a paper to be published after graduation. Through his hard work on these papers he has come to exemplify the educational spirit, and will also be attending the North American Benthological Society's annual research symposium to present his research in stream ecology as a representative of Loyola. The conference is designed for Graduate and Post-Doctoral students, and to present at this conference as an undergraduate student is an honor. Through his volunteer and service work, Kyle has demonstrated that he is indeed "a person for others." Moreover, the band represents the spirit of Loyola when it plays at alumni functions and tournament games in other states, and is noticed by visiting fans and teams. Kyle is most deserving of this award.
