Mark Lubus

Mark Lubus, Junior

Here is how Mark exemplifies the Jesuit ideals according to his nomination:

Mark has gotten involved in campus life in a variety of ways. He is a member of the student judicial board, the club swim team, and the campus life union board. Further, Mark is involved in the school of business administration. Through all his involvement he has maintained an exceptional GPA.  In particular I would like to highlight Mark's contribution through the Student Judicial Board. His first year on the board was one filled with challenge and growth. Mark struggled with difficult decisions related to holding his fellow students accountable for their behavior. Throughout those struggles, Mark never lost sight of the huge impact his decisions would have on others. He definitely looked at the whole student in front of him - not just their behaviors - and showed true care and compassion for the individual, while also weighing the needs of the greater community. I was impressed by his maturity, thoroughness, and commitment to the greater LUC community.  Mark is most deserving of this award.
