Natali Villarruel
Natali Villarruel, Junior
Here is how Natali exemplifies the Jesuit ideals according to her nomination:
Natali has been under my supervision since her freshman year as a tutor and Volunteer Program Coordinator of the Chicago Youth Programs tutoring and mentoring program affiliated with Loyola University's Magis initiative. Natali has moved up in the ranks over the years and now holds a leadership position in the organization and now runs the Teen Tutoring Room. This year she has changed the lives of over 30 underprivileged children in the Uptown Area. Natali is also a member of the Latin American Student Organization (LASO). Through this organization she has brought diverse programming and education of the Latino culture and community to Loyola University Chicago. Natali has also been a member of Sigma Lambda Gamma Sorority Inc; through this organization she has built a strong Greek life community at Loyola University. Through the principles laid down by the founding mothers of her sorority, she has excelled in leadership, academia, and community service. She is aware of most issues around the world and always partakes in anyway she can to promote awareness and bring light to issues that either directly or indirectly affects each and every single one of us in this world. Natali is most deserving of this award.
