Here is how Nisha exemplifies the Jesuit ideals according to her nomination:
Nisha is heavily involved with the American Red Cross, Delta Sigma Pi, Colleges Against Cancer, and Girl Scouts of America. She contributes a great deal of her time to service work. She has also grown into an active citizen by sharing her passions and opinions as a writer for Inside Loyola and the Mosaic. Additionally, she was honored to take on an internship with Congresswoman Schakowsky last year when she had the opportunity to learn more about immigration, social security, and tax concerns. Nisha lives up to the Jesuit mission by voicing her thoughts on social justice issues. She expresses her leadership skills through the organizations she is involved in at Loyola and through her service work with the Red Cross. She has volunteered with the Red Cross since 1999 and earned over 1000 service hours. In addition she has led fundraising initiatives and mentored numerous Loyola students and high school students in her home town. Nisha is most deserving of this award.
