Facilities
The Department of Fine and performing Arts is housed in new and recently renovated facilities at the Lake Shore Campus.
The newly renovated Mundelein Center for the Fine and Performing Arts is home to visual arts, theatre and music classrooms, DFPA and faculty offices, a theatre resource center and reading room, music resource center and listening lab, art image resource center, and the Mundelein Center Auditorium.

The seventh floor is home to state-of-the-art facilities for the visual arts; classrooms for drawing and painting, design, and art history, two fully-equipped Macintosh computer labs as well as the stunning Sky Student Lounge.
The tenth floor is home to eight fully-equipped private and group practice rooms, keyboarding
lab plus a state-of-the-art digital music lab outfitted with 18 Korg keyboards and Mac computers.

The Ralph Arnold Fine Arts Annex; contains specialized studios for ceramics, metalworking/ jewelry, and sculpture. The new dance studio features dramatic windows, sprung flooring, piano and sound system, ballet barres, and dressing rooms. A small art gallery displaying student and professional artwork also serves as event and study space.

The Studio Theatre provides an additional performance spaces for student-directed and student-designed productions. Additionally, the Theatre program has dedicated scene, costume and lighting shops, and additional theatre support spaces including prop and lighting loft, and design and performance classrooms that contain the necessary tools for modern theatre technology.
