Jennifer Murray in an Instructor of Fine Arts and teaches courses in traditional and digital photography in the Department of Fine and Performing Arts. Prior to teaching at Loyola she taught undergraduate photography at Columbia College Chicago for over twelve years, AP Photography in the Chicago Public Schools, and alternative photographic processes to elementary school children at the Chicago Botanic Garden. She also directed A+D Gallery, a contemporary art and design gallery at Columbia College Chicago, for over ten years. Ms. Murray is currently on the exhibition board at the Chicago Photography Center.
Her photographs have been shown in numerous exhibitions throughout Chicago and the Midwest, most recently at The Detroit Center for Contemporary Photography. Her photographic research focuses on the imperfections of daily life, private space, and the meaning we place on arbitrary things.
