About

Ms. Amy Wilkinson began her professional performance career with the Open Door Theater in Boulder, Colorado after graduating from the University of Iowa with a double major in dance and communications.  She is currently dancing for Concert Dance Inc., and played a featured role in a recent PBS broadcast production of Ruth Page’s classic ballet Billy Sunday  

Ms. Wilkinson has performed with numerous Chicago companies including Luna Negra Dance Theater, Same Planet Different World, and Thodos Dance Chicago, for whom she also served as the educational outreach coordinator.  She has choreographed numerous original works for Thodos Dance, Inaside Dance Company, Impetus Dance Theater, and Instruments of Movement; and her pieces have been performed at numerous local, national, and international venues including the Ravinia Music Festival’s Rising Stars Concert Series, Dance Chicago, and The Istanbul Festival of Music and Dance. 

Ms. Wilkinson recently graduated with an M.Ed. in higher education at Loyola University Chicago and she is also the director of the Gallery 37 Dance Ensemble and teaches numerous master classes.
