Dr. Withers-Wilson teaches courses in Dramatic Literature, Voice and Diction, and Stage Dialects at Loyola University Chicago.

Dr. Withers-Wilson is a stage voice and dialect specialist whose credits include regional and Off-Broadway theatre, television, and film. Her Chicago credits include: The Beard of Avon, House and GardenA Christmas Carol, and Joe Turner's Come and Gone (Goodman Theatre); Playland (Steppenwolf Theatre); and From the Mississippi DeltaDriving Miss DaisyValley SongSomeone to Watch Over MeSmoke on the Mountain, andWoody Guthrie's American Song (Northlight Theatre).

Dr. Withers-Wilson, prior to commencing her teaching career, was a professional actress with the Long Wharf Theatre in New Haven, Connecticut, the Buffalo Studio Arena Theatre in Buffalo, New York, and the Actors' Theatre of Louisville in Kentucky.

Dr. Withers-Wilson is the author of Vocal Direction for the Theatre, the first book to be written on how the theatre voice specialist functions as a collaborative artist within the production process.
