PERSONAL INFORMATION

B.A., Loyola University Chicago

Ms. Kelli Strickland has taught Introduction to Theatre, Theatre History, Dramatic Literature and Theatre in Chicago at Loyola University Chicago over the last nine years.

Ms. Strickland has worked as a dramaturg with Guthrie Theatre, Missouri Repertory and Shattered Globe. She has acted or directed with Bareboned Theatre Co., Bailiwick Repertory, Women's Theatre Alliance, 20% Theatre Co. and Avenue Theatre Co. She currently stars in the feature film “Hannah Free” appearing in over 50 film festivals internationally this year. Her articles have appeared in American Theatre and The Mamet Review. She has presented multiple times before the Mid-America Theatre Conference.

Ms. Strickland is the director of Education and Outreach at the Raven Theatre, where she advocates for and implements arts education in the Chicago Public School system. She also serves as the Director of Education for Oak Park Festival Theatre and is a member of the Chicago Arts Educators Forum as well as the Chicago Arts Learning Initiative.
