The Digital Media Lab (DML), located on the second floor of the Information Commons, is one of the newest technology-focused centers on Loyola's Lake Shore Campus. Open to all current Loyola University Chicago students, the DML features professional staff and trained students that are dedicated to promoting your success inside and outside the classroom.

Do you always have the newest tech gadget? First in line for the iPhone™? Be sure to stop by the DML to sample the newest trends in technology. Each quarter the DML will spotlight a new technology.

Borrow multimedia equipment and create...

The DML makes media production kits available for check-out to current Loyola students. From camcorders to digital pianos and everything in between, we can't wait to see what you'll create!

Try your hand at a tech competition and challenge...

Each month the DML staff will coordinate a digital technology challenge. Your mission - if you choose to accept it - will be to create a digital media project. You could be one of the lucky winners who walk away with a fantastic prize!

Record and produce your own music and/or podcast...

Using Apple's Logic Studio or Garage Band, coupled with our digital instruments, you too could become the next digital Beethoven. Create sheet music, burn a CD of your own personally-created beats or record your own podcast using our podcasting kits.

Brush up on your technical skills...

Join our DML staff for a variety of hands-on workshops, tutorials and information sessions. From video production to web site design and digital animation to music composition and production, we're sure you'll find a workshop that will spark your interest.

Have a question regarding an upcoming project for class? Need additional support in the lab or while you're in the field? Then be sure to meet with our Digital Media Specialist or a member of the DML team for a multimedia consultation and receive one-on-one assistance.

It's 2:00am and you just need to import a video clip. One problem... you're not sure how! Well, then explore our web site for a host of online resources. Filled with answers to common questions, training exercises and copies of our workshop materials, we're sure you'll find the answer - while still in your PJ's.
