General Events

 Fall Semester

STARS Career Search – It’s never too early to think about the Real World… or at least campus employment! Now’s a great time to explore internships and build up that resume!  Mentors and campus partners offer guidance on major declaration and employment opportunities.
Registration Workshop – Learn the ins and outs of course registration! STARS Mentors and Academic Advisors will break down the registration process, review core requirements and help you find classes.

STARSearch Talent Show & Fundraiser – This is for anyone to show off their talent.  Dance, sing, do stand-up, or anything else, as celebrity judges comment about your act and pick winners. All funds raised go to UNICEF.

Desserts in December – Join STARS, The People's Institute, and BMI as we celebrate the winter holidays and learn about other cultural winter traditions! This year’s event offers great desserts and games to relax before finals.

Spring Semester

Taking Academics out of the Classroom – Participants have a chance to learn about academic opportunities Loyola can offer them outside of the classroom, including research scholarships, internships and study abroad.

The Road to Success – This is a great chance to learn more about the opportunities for employment on and off campus, particularly for the summer months. Speakers will talk about their roads travelled and how participants can get on the right track to their dream jobs.

STARS Global Gala – In conjunction with High School STARS, our Peer Mentors, Scholars and mentees offer a night of powerful cultural expression!

STARS Earth Day – Gear up for Earth Day! Come join STARS as we take action on Earth Day. 

All-STARS End of the Year Party - To end a great year, STARS mentors organize a dinner social for mentees as well as SuperSTARS mentors to recognize the academic achievements of program participants.
