S.T.A.R.S. Program

Summer Transition Conference

STARS mentees have the unique opportunity to attend the Summer Transition Conference, an orientation program that kicks off our year and offers STARS mentees a view of Loyola’s campus and Chicago from a cultural perspective. This program is completely free of cost and is only available to Loyola's residential AND commuter students who participate in the STARS Program.

Here are some important details to consider before confirming your attendance:

What
This special orientation will allow you to meet our STARS Mentors, hear about different academic and social opportunities for students of color, network with fellow mentees, staff and faculty. It includes, to name a few, a welcome from our department and campus partners, a cultural campus tour, and sightseeing on our Chicago DoubleDecker party bus!

When
The Summer Transition Conference will start at 2 P.M. on August 25, 2010. Get ready for a full day packed with some fun adventures!

Where
Loyola’s Lake Shore Campus (various locations, specific details TBA upon attendance confirmation)

Who
ALL STARS Mentees! The conference allows residential students to move into their residence halls early, and commuter students are strongly encouraged to attend.

Cost

Again, there is no charge. That’s right, there is no expense; it’s complimentary. Free. Gratis. Libre. 免費  حرّة  This includes meals and all activities.
