LUCES Affinity Spaces

LUCES Affinity Spaces

LUCES provides Affinity Spaces as an additional opportunity for students in the LUCES community to build community, prepare for cross-cultural dialogue, and receive opportunities for support and affirmation.

These spaces provide a space for women to identify salient issues and common concerns through dialogue with other women of the same ethnic/racial identity, as well as a place of fellowship and empowerment.

Thank you to everyone who particpated in our first Affinity Spaces!  We have made a couple of adjustments to the groups and are now offering a South and South East Asian space and a Biracial/Multiracial space.  Please continue to provide your feedback to us as we work as a community to create the spaces our community needs!

Join us on the following dates:

Biracial/Multiracial, Black- Thrusday, February 21, 2013 from 4-5pm

South and South East Asian-Thursday, March 14, 2013 from 12-1pm

Latina/Chicana- Wednesday, April 10, 2013 from 2-3pm

*Each Affinity Group will be held in the Oasis, located on the lower level of CFSU.

*For questions or more information contact Laura Bohorquez at lbohorquez@luc.edu or 773-508-8849.
