Annual Women of Color Retreat

The Women of Color Retreat is an annual retreat hosted by LUCES (Loyola University Chicago Empowering Sisterhood). This retreat provides a space for Loyola's Women of Color to take time for critical self-reflection and exploration of identity. Participants are able to re-energize through validation and nurturing of their identities, connection with mentors within their community, and engagement with leadership opportunities.

2013 Retreat Information

The theme of the retreat this year is Nourishing the Mind, Body and Soul: Women of Color Accepting the Power of Self Love. It will take place at LUREC from Friday, November 8th through Sunday, November 10th. Space is limited and will be allotted on a first come, first served basis. We ask that you turn in a $25 refundable deposit by Friday, October 18th to Paige Gardner to finalize your registration. Please keep in mind that your registration is not complete until you turn in your deposit. Deposit's should be in a sealed envelope with your first and last name and turned into the SDMA Office. (This deposit will be returned to you in full on Friday, November 8th upon arrival for departure). Transportation and meals will be provided at no charge.
