LUCES Mentorship Program

For Incoming First Years and Transfer Women of Color

LMP connects first-year students and transfers with a LUC faculty or professional staff to aid them in achieving success at Loyola. Students will receive one-on-one mentorship from their assigned mentor along with group mentoring sessions. Students will also have the opportunity to attend leadership development, social and educational events sponsored by LUCES to create experiences that will enhance individual growth. If you self-identify as a woman of color and are a first-year LUC student or transfer we encourage you to take part of this unique opportunity.

Your Experience as a LMP Mentee

  • You will be matched with a current Loyola faculty or professional staff member. She will serve as your mentor throughout your first academic year at Loyola. You will schedule monthly meetings with your mentor in order to achieve personal goals you set for yourself at the beginning of each semester.
  • Attend year round events and workshops focused on leadership development, and cultural awareness designed specifically for LUCES members.
  • Be part of a community of women striving to build a sistership, leadership and scholarship.

Ready to join us?

LMP staff will select 30 incoming Women of Color to participate in our program. The application deadline is Monday, August 3, 2015. Please use this link to apply: LMP Mentee Application
