Mission

You matter here at Loyola. Your goals, potential, and needs are important to us, as these will uniquely define your college experience. From celebrating successes to overcoming challenges, the Office of the Dean of Students is here to provide care and support as you navigate college and pursue the academic and personal goals that are important to you. We offer encouragement, advocacy, and a personalized response when the unexpected happens, and we will always be here to connect you with the resources you need to emerge successful.

DOS Services

Among the services offered by the DOS are:

  • Coordinated Assistance and Resource Education (CARE) - individualized support for dealing with illness, personal emergencies, or other unexpected difficulties
  • Behavioral Concerns Team (BCT) - a network of campus resources coordinated by the DOS to address reports of concerning student behavior
  • Gender-Based Discrimination and Misconduct Services (Title IX) - ensuring a prompt, effective, and thorough response to reports of gender or sex discrimination, as well as dating violence, stalking, sexual assault, and other gender-based misconduct

Additionally, the Office of Student Conduct and Conflict Resolution (OSCCR) and Off-Campus Student Life (OCSL) provide additional resources under the authority and supervision of the DOS.
