This is the culminating experience of the master's degree program. The capstone of teacher preparation is guided practice in the actual activity of teaching. Student teaching also gives the prospective teacher the opportunity to blend theory and practice and to develop an individual teaching style.
Applications must be submitted a year in advance of the semester in which you plan to student teach. The deadlines are:
- October 1 for Fall Semester Student Teaching*
- October 1 for Summer Semester Practicum* (for those who hold a valid Teaching Certificate)
- March 1 for Spring Semester Student Teaching*
