Application Requirements
To apply for admission to the graduate programs in the School of Education, the following documents are required from domestic applicants:- A completed admission application
- A $50 non-refundable application fee (fee waived for online application)
- One set of official transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate institutions attended, showing a GPA of at least 3.0*
- Three letters of recommendation
- General GRE test scores
- A statement of purpose. Please write a narrative of one to three pages that describes your:
- academic and research interests, as well as professional goals
- any research and professional experiences
- life experiences which have influenced your view of social justice
* In exceptional cases, applicants whose undergraduate GPA is below 3.0 may be admitted. Each program area gives meaningful consideration to the applicant's graduate GPA, GRE scores, recommendations, professional experience and reasons for pursuing a graduate program, as well as to the diversity of the student body.
For international applicants, the following documents are required in addition to those listed above:
- TOEFL or IELTS scores
- A Declaration and Certification of Finances Form (PDF)
- General evaluations of international transcripts by an outside credentialing service. Go to www.ece.org for information about this service and to download an application.
