Cultural and Educational Policy Studies - M.A., M.Ed.

Application Requirements

To apply for admission to the graduate programs in the School of Education, the following documents are required from domestic applicants (For the J.D./M.A. transcripts submitted to the Law School can be shared. All other admission documents need to be submitted to both schools directly.):
  • A completed admission application
  • A $50 non-refundable application fee (fee waived for online application)
  • One set of official transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate institutions attended, showing a GPA of at least 3.0*
  • Three letters of recommendation
  • A statement of purpose. Please write a narrative of one to three pages that describes your:
    1. Academic and research interests, as well as professional goals
    2. Life experiences that have influenced your view of social justice
* In exceptional cases, applicants whose undergraduate GPA is below 3.0 may be admitted. Each program area gives meaningful consideration to the applicant's graduate GPA, recommendations, professional experience and reasons for pursuing a graduate program, as well as to the diversity of the student body.
