M.Ed. in Behavior Intervention Specialist

Overview

The M.Ed. in Behavior Intervention Specialist is a 30 semester hour programs that prepares candidates to work with school personnel, parents, community members, and students (age 3-21, in general or special education settings), in implementing behavioral and academic assessments and interventions to improve the quality of life for children and adolescents with special needs. Upon completion of the program, graduates will earn a master’s degree with a Behavior Intervention Specialist concentration and Learning Behavior Specialist II Endorsement (LBSII).   Additionally, candidates who do not want to earn the degree will have the option to enroll in a Endorsement Only program to complete the six courses for the LBSII endorsement. 

Our Behavior Intervention Specialist Endorsement Only program is for licensed LBSI teachers who currently hold a master's degree and would like to add the Behavior Intervention Specialist endorsement.
