Teaching & Graduate Studies

LU-CHOICE seeks men and women who are enthusiastic about teaching elementary school and will bring many gifts to the elementary classroom. Participants serve as full-time, professional teachers in schools in the Archdiocese of Chicago.

As employees of the Archdiocese of Chicago, LU-CHOICE teachers are expected to observe Archdiocesan and school policies related to teachers. LU-CHOICE teachers receive health insurance through the Archdiocese of Chicago.

After successful completion of the program, LU-CHOICE teachers are eligible to apply for elementary certification (K-9) in the State of Illinois.

LU-CHOICE teachers also receive professional support from a field supervisor from Loyola University Chicago and LU-CHOICE staff.
