University Requirement

Scheduling EL Courses

All courses that have been approved to satisfy the University Engaged Learning requirement need to be indicated as such in LOCUS.   This allows students to easily find Engaged Learning courses each semester.  Please follow the instructions below when you schedule your Engaged Learning courses each semester: 

 

On the Basic Data Tab of the Maintain Schedule of Classes page:

1) Append an E to the Class Section Number

2) Update the Course Attribute Value to specify Engaged Learning

 

On the Class Notes Tab of the Maintain Schedule of Classes page:

1) Select a Class Note to indicate the Category of Engaged Learning as Fieldwork, Internship, Public Performance, Service Learning or Undergraduate Research.

 

On the Class Components Tab of the Class Association page:

1) Select the Requirement Designation to indicate the Category of Engaged Learning as Fieldwork, Internship, Public Performance, Service Learning or Undergraduate Research.
