Corporate Ethics Consulting at the Center
Ethics in the workplace has always been a vital measure of corporate success, but it is receiving increasing attention in the face of numerous public failures by major corporations in recent years. One of the consequences of these failures has been a sharp increase in regulatory and public scrutiny of corporations.
Legislators, industry organizations, and the public are demanding that corporations design organizational structures and adhere to operating procedures that promise a convergence of profit and integrity rather than holding ethics hostage for the sake of an improved bottom line.
Loyola's Center for Ethics and Social Justice can aid corporations and other organizations in meeting these demands. Like many management consulting firms, the Center offers a variety of ethics programs for businesses, including ethics education programs and consulting, evaluation methodologies to assess current efforts, assistance in drafting, evaluating, or amending corporate codes of conduct and mission and values statements, and assistance in designing organizational structures aimed at supporting ethical conduct in the organization.
These programs can be targeted to leadership or to managers in human resource departments, ethics and compliance departments, and corporate education units, as well as to senior management and boards of directors. Programs are available to be offered on site or off, as intensive workshops or as in service series over a longer term. The Center seeks to tailor its programs to fit the specific needs and concerns of each organization and audience.
The Center also offers direct ethics consulting to corporate ethics officers or decision-makers in the form of specific ethics advice and assistance or on-demand research on numerous issues in corporate ethics, compliance programming, ethics auditing, etc.
