Evoke Courses

Evoke is especially interested in heightening the visibility and value of "callings" within academic courses at Loyola University Chicago. Together with professors, we draw upon current and traditional resources that engage this topic in literature and the arts, in sociology and psychology, in philosophy and theology, in business and the professions.

Evoke courses are Loyola-accredited and often meet core requirements. The goals of Evoke Courses:

  • enhance awareness and understanding of "vocation" or personal "calling;"
  • increase consideration of "calling" in choosing a major or a career;
  • strengthen commitments to serve others in faith-motivated ways;
  • assist those who feel called to church-related service.

Evoke courses are highly recommended to students who are interested in exploring their "calling" in a particular major or career. Students provide overwhelmingly positive feedback regarding Evoke courses in their vocational discernment.

The listing of Evoke Courses is currently being updated and will be listed in Spring 2010. Please let us know if you are interested in learning more about Evoke Courses:
