Journey into the land of the hit musical WICKED with two actors and hear the story behind the story.

Head to Loyola University's Chicago's Mundelein Auditorium at noon on Thursday, October 25th for what promises to be one of the hottest events on campus this year!

BEHIND THE EMERALD CURTAIN is an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the making of the megahit musical WICKED. Cast members Jill Hayman and Don Richard will serve as hosts for this event at Loyola University Chicago. Look for the halls of Mundelein Center to become Oz-ified on Thursday, October 25th from 12:15 - 1:15 p.m.

Actors Hayman and Richard will tell the story behind the story of WICKED, which received 10 Tony Award nominations in 2004 and received the 2004 Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle awards for "outstanding musical." Their presentation will include a behind the scenes look at the creative and complicated process of bringing a show like WICKED to a Broadway stage. Among other things, they will highlight what the over 125 people backstage do to make this latest story of Oz a reality eight times a week.

Hayman and Richard will also raise the curtain on their own involvement in WICKED, discussing how they landed roles with the smash hit in Chicago. They will similarly offer some musings on their own callings as actors, reflecting on the challenges and joys they have experienced through their artistic vocation. The hour-long event will conclude with an extended Q&A, where Loyolans will have the chance to find out more about WICKED specifically and show business in general from the cast member hosts.

Evoke is proud to host this wickedly fun event on campus. At Evoke, our dream is to encourage you to live yours. Come join us and our WICKED hosts and catch a glimpse of how people can "defy gravity" when they believe in the power of their dreams.
