You've Heard the Name...
...Now meet the person!

Did you miss the First "You've heard the name, now meet the person" event with Al Norville from Fall 2010? Check out highlights from his talk here.
Have you ever wondered who some of the people are that buildings on campus are named after? Sure, Ignatius House is named after Saint Ignatius and most of the residence halls are named after Jesuit colleges, but what about buildings like the Norville Center for Intercollegiate Athletics, Baumhart Hall, or the Simpson Living Learning Center?
This program is a chance for you to meet with some of Loyola's most famous personalities. Come to a dinner or dessert reception with famous Loyolans and find out why they are called to support the university in such a unique way and what has motivated them to live a generous life.
This program will bring major supporters to small, intimate dinners or receptions with groups of students. The goal is to bring in supporters whose names are familiar to students across campus. Students may know these names, but are often unaware of the story behind the person who is so generous. This deep commitment to higher education and to the mission of Loyola will provide for a fruitful conversation of discovering and living your vocation.
Conversations will be kept mostly informal- the guest of honor will be asked to share his or her story and why they believe so much in higher education and Loyola. After this, there will be time for questions and answers and to enjoy some food together.
