Winter Construction Update

This Winter a number of construction and renovation projects will be taking place on the Lake Shore and Water Tower campuses. Facilities will utilize as much of the winter break window to carry out projects in order to minimize disruptions to the University's operations.  

 December 19 - 23th 

IES: Scaffolding in Ecodome for shades and geothermal reroute. Shade cleaning will run through Jan 13th, 2017.

Halas: Pool will be drained on 12/17 to build scaffolding and repair lighting fixtures. 

Mundelein: Elevator cars 5&6 will be serviced temporary shutdown may be required for maintenance

Information Commons: Maintenance work will reformed on the front doors of the IC during Dec 19th -23th. The north doors of the IC will be also closed on the week of the 26th for maintenance. 


December 26 - 30th

Information Commons: Fire alarm test

Halas: Court floors will be down for refinishing

IES: Ecodome Shade cleaning ongoing until the 13 of January.


January 2 - 6th 

Mertz: Penthouse leak repair, water shutdown required on Jan 4th.

San Francisco: Plumbing water shutdown required.


January 9 - 13th

IES: Ecodome Shade repairs begin

MDS Chapel: Relamping of various ceiling fixtures.

Simpson Hall: House pump replacement and leak repair on the Jan 9th.
