Love him or hate him -and his contemporaries did both- Julius Caesar was unquestionably one of the most dynamic men of a busy age. His brilliantly lucid writings report, represent, and helped to effect his achievements. They also display his mastery of pure Latin elegance. We will consider both Caesar's works and his impact.
