Winter Wonderland light show
Through Jan. 4
Our annual light show has been a holiday tradition for Lake County residents for years. Now is your chance to experience 97 acres of holiday lights and decorations as you drive through the grounds of Loyola’s Cuneo Mansion and Gardens. Times: 6–10 p.m. Cost: $5 a car on Monday–Thursday; $10 a car on Friday–Sunday. Closed Dec. 24 and 25. Go to the Cuneo website to learn more.
Food drive for the Kovler Center
Through Jan. 24
With the holiday season in full swing, the Center for the Human Rights of Children is sponsoring a food drive to benefit the refugees at the Marjorie Kovler Center. Located in Rogers Park, the center is devoted to helping individuals, families, and communities affected by torture. Donation boxes are located around campus. ‘The Velveteen Rabbit’

This stage adaptation of the beloved children’s book will be sure to put you in the holiday spirit. Performed by the Kirk Players at Loyola’s Cuneo Mansion and Gardens. Join Loyola President and CEO Michael J. Garanzini, S.J., as he hosts the annual luncheon for faculty, staff, and retirees. This is a great opportunity to come together as a community to celebrate the holiday season. There will be games with prizes, as well as gift drawings for attendees. The festivities begin with a gathering in the Damen Student Center at 11:30 a.m., and the luncheon will follow at noon in the Gentile Arena. Learn more on the University calendar.
Celebrate Christmas with a midnight Mass in the Madonna della Strada Chapel. Carols begin at 11:15 p.m. Mass follows at midnight.
