TWO Loyola winners of major NIH award
Students to work in national neuroscience labs
The Fellowship Office congratulates Loyola’s latest winners of the NIH Intramural Research Training Award (IRTA).
Danish Ghazali (pictured at left) will begin his IRTA after spring graduation in the laboratory of Dr. Bibiana Bielekova at the National Institute of Neurological Diseases and Stroke (NINDS).
David Collins is a currently a senior in Molecular Biology, and a LUROP Biology Research Fellow. After graduating in May, he will begin the IRTA in the laboratory of Dr. Chris J. McBain at the National Institute of Child Health & Human Development (NICHD), studying interneurons in the hippocampus.
The Fellowship Office gives an information session annually in November on applying successfully to the IRTA and to the NIH Summer Internship Program. If you are a Loyola student interested applying to one of these programs, please contact us and we will be happy to help you.
