Major in music
A total of 45 credit hours are required for the major in Music. Requirements include 2 credit hours in musicianship skill development, 12 credit hours in music theory, 9 credit hours in music history, 8 hours in applied music, 8 hours in ensemble music and either Solo Recital (MUSC 387) or Capstone Project (MUSC 388).

Concert Attendance
All music majors must attend four (4) Loyola concerts each semester, other than one in which they are performing. The programs from the concert(s) must be signed by one of the performers or an attending faculty member. The program is then submitted to Marta Wasko, DFPA Office Assistant, with the student's name clearly marked on the program.
